Strong knowledge of bankruptcy laws and creditor/debtor rights. Excellent research, negotiation, and litigation skills. Outstanding client communication and case management abilities. Bankruptcy Attorney Responsibilities Represent individuals and businesses in bankruptcy proceedings, including filings and court appearances. Provide counsel on debt restructuring, asset protection, and insolvency issues. Collaborate with clients to develop personalized strategies for financial recovery. Draft and review bankruptcy-related documentation, including petitions, motions, and agreements. Negotiate with creditors and opposing counsel to achieve favorable outcomes.
