About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Medical Officer (CMO) to provide medical leadership across all service lines. The CMO will be a key member of the Executive Leadership Team, contributing to strategic development, and will be responsible for the supervision and collaboration of medical provider staff. This role involves ensuring compliance with all regulations governing mental health services, coordinating medical services with other departments, and actively participating in the recruitment and review of clinical staff. The CMO will also be integral in quality patient care, participating in improvement initiatives, and may carry a small caseload. The ideal candidate for the Chief Medical Officer position at the company should have a current MD or DO from an accredited medical school, be board-eligible or certified in psychiatry, and have at least three years of post-residency psychiatric experience. Supervisory or management experience in community psychiatry, up-to-date knowledge of psychopharmacology, and a strong background in physician, employee, and community stakeholder relations are essential. The CMO will also be involved in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting, so experience in a competitive, managed care market and with different payment models is required. The role demands a leader who is comfortable with electronic health records, and who has a proven track record of managing complex issues for vulnerable populations. A DEA and Colorado Physician license are necessary, with the possibility of reciprocity.
