Job Description

The Maine Seacoast Mission, one of Maine's oldest and most trusted nonprofits, is looking for a competent, welcoming individual with excellent facilitation, education and outdoor leadership skills to join our EdGE Primary Youth Development Coordinator team. The EdGE Primary Youth Development Coordinator - Outdoor Programs position helps deliver Mission Downeast education, leadership, experiential, and mentoring activities to support young people and adults in personal and professional development. This position primarily supports school day, afterschool programs, and summer camps with a particular focus on students in K-8 grades and programs that use the Cherryfield campus facilities, especially the Challenge Course. The position also supports other Mission initiatives, including Service Tours.

The successful candidate will share the Mission's commitment to supporting youth empowerment and positive youth development, social-emotional learning, and have experience with mentoring-based methods and/or programs. Outdoor leadership with ropes or challenge course training or experience is required. Additional details are available on the Mission website.

This is a full-time exempt position based on a 40-hour work week. The salary range is $43,680-$47,840 with excellent benefits. Salary commensurate with preparation.
