Job Description

INTERNSHIP FORMAT

Remote: The format for this internship will be remote, meaning the intern will work virtually. Relocation and housing will not be provided. Remote work must be completed at a location based in the United States. Interns who live in the Metro-Detroit area are welcome to work out of the Stellantis Headquarters and Technology Center in Auburn Hills, Michigan within the New Era of Agility suites, but this is not mandatory. Interns who live in the Metro-Detroit area may be asked to work on-site periodically. The onsite work could be at the Stellantis Headquarters and Technology Center in Auburn Hills, Michigan or at various partner venues within the Metro-Detroit area.

INTERNSHIP OVERVIEW

  • When: The internship program will run from May 19 - August 8, 2025.
  • Where: All internships are in the United States. Even remote work assignments must be completed within the United States.
  • Transportation: Interns are responsible for getting to and from work daily. Stellantis does not provide transportation to interns.

DEPARTMENT DETAILS

The 2025 Communications internship will be fast-paced, project-oriented and give an intern the opportunity to own projects from start to finish. The intern will experience personal growth and development by contributing to challenging projects with specific goals.

The Communications intern will provide support for the organization in the following areas:

  • Write and edit news releases, fact sheets and content for both internal and external communications
  • Manage photo shoots and video projects
  • Assist with executive interviews
  • Cover company events, including conducting interviews, taking photos and shooting/editing video
  • Coordinate and support events, including employee events, manufacturing programs and media drive programs
  • Coordinate competitive research projects

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Pursuing an associate degree or higher from an accredited college or university.
  • Able to work full-time, 40 hours per week during the internship.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Majoring in Public Relations, Communications, or Journalism
  • Completion of sophomore year or higher at an accredited university by the spring of 2025
  • GPA of 3.0 or higher (based on a 4.0 scale)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite applications
  • Capable of working both independently and as part of a team
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across various organizational levels and with external partners
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, multitask, and achieve goals in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven leadership in academic pursuits, extracurricular activities, or service organizations
  • Strong interest in the automotive industry
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Detail-oriented
  • Must have strong working knowledge of Internet search tools to find requested information quickly, with minimum direction
  • Excellent writing and editing skills, photography and graphics skills, video writing/production skills, on-line content management tool familiarity, database management skills
  • Familiarity with social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, blogs)
  • Ability to travel as needed
  • Previous internship experience
