Controller - Mechanical General Contractor

What: Controller - Mechanical General Contractor

Salary Range : Up to $150k to $200k depending on experience

Qualifications :

Accounting Knowledge :

• Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Familiarity with construction ERP systems.
• Experience with consolidation accounting for C-Corporations with LLC subsidiaries.

Leadership Skills :

• Ability to run a team of 5-6 people.

Independence :

• Individuals who are independent and do not require micromanagement.

Industry Experience :

• Experience in General Contracting (GC), Mechanical, Engineering, HVAC, electrical, or plumbing.

Regulatory Knowledge :

• Experience with multi-state corporate registrations and licensing.
• Knowledge of sales and use tax rules for contracting.
• Familiarity with heating and air replacement.
• Must have multi-state work experience, including:
• Department of Revenue.
• Secretary of State / State licensing boards Paperwork rules.

Position Type : Hands-on role requiring proactive involvement. The ideal candidate could fill a VP role but the focus is on being a doer, not a manager. NorthPoint Search Group Inc
