Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a Summer 2025 Cybersecurity Intern. In this role, you will learn the fundamentals of the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and support the Information System Security Manager (ISSM) and Information System Security Officers (ISSOs) in daily cybersecurity tasks. The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of how to document, assess, and validate fundamental cybersecurity controls, the ability to effectively communicate (written and verbal), and a strong desire to learn and meaningfully engage in assigned working tasks. The candidate must be a US Citizen. The position does NOT require a government security clearance. This is an onsite position located at the Lockheed Martin Valley Forge, PA campus. Basic Qualifications:

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college.
  • Must have a current Comp TIA Security+ Certificate
  • Fundamental understanding of cyber threats
  • Fundamental understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals to include firewalls, encryption, and malware detection
Desired Skills:
  • Fundamental understanding of cyber attacks, and vulnerabilities.
  • Fundamental understanding of system security architecture and design principles.
  • Fundamental understanding of risk management.
  • Experience in system configuration, hardening, security analysis, and vulnerability management.
  • Experience utilizing cybersecurity tools and solutions to assess and validate cybersecurity compliance.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
