This position is based in the Philadelphia area, with the opportunity to travel extensively across North America (and potentially internationally) to work with clients in manufacturing, military, and educational facilities. We will provide full training at our Hatboro, PA facility, including hands-on experience with our equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Travel to exciting destinations across North America, and potentially abroad, to install, maintain, and service SMT equipment in a variety of industries.
  • Set up and install cutting-edge SMT equipment, ensuring it meets operational standards.
  • Train operators, maintenance staff, and engineers on the proper use and maintenance of our machinery.
  • Provide on-site and remote technical support , solving mechanical, electrical, and software issues to keep customers up and running smoothly.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and calibration, ensuring equipment operates at peak performance.
  • Document service activities through accurate records and detailed reports.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to offer feedback and suggest product improvements based on customer needs and experiences.
  • Foster positive relationships with customers, providing solutions that ensure satisfaction and long-term success.

Qualifications:

  • A degree or technical certification in electronics, electrical engineering, or a related field—or experience in the SMT industry.
  • Strong foundation in electronics, machine operation, and troubleshooting.
  • Preferred 1-3 years of experience supporting or servicing SMT assembly equipment (e.g., pick-and-place machines, reflow ovens, etc.), though training is available for the right candidate.
  • Comfort and skill in explaining technical details to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proficiency in reading electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical schematics/drawings (training available if needed).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and an attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently, manage your time effectively, and handle the logistics of travel.
  • Must be willing to travel regularly to client sites across North America and beyond.
