Our Managed IT Services practice offers a full range of services, whether a client has an existing IT department that's looking to offload certain IT functions, or if a client needs a full-service IT department to manage it all, we've got them covered. Some responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:This role will be on site in our Boston office five days a week Travel to client sites as needed to support all areas of IT support and troubleshootingBuild laptops to assist with onboarding efforts for our clients and employeesAssist in the maintenance of Windows servers, as well as all applications in use by clientsMaintain network equipment such as servers, workstations, PDAs, routers, firewalls, switches, and printersDocument hours daily, separating billable hours from non-billable hours, using as much detail as possible and submitting timesheets on timeAddress the needs of the clients in a timely and professional mannerAssist the Field Services Manager and other colleagues with scopes of work, as neededCommunicate with a variety of vendors for issues and needs in terms of hardware, software and communications (ISPs), wireless networks, phone systems, PDAs, and desktop applicationsProvide on-call duties within a rotating schedule and available for weekend/evening work when assignedAll other duties as assignedSkills:Knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Office products and networks and systems, such as HP and DellExperience with LAN, WAN, and WLAN technologiesConfigures and troubleshoots VPNsKnowledge in implementation and troubleshooting Cisco Nexus, Catalyst, and ASA devicesWorking knowledge of other enterprise class switches (L2/L3), routers, load balancers and firewallsProficient in network routing protocols like OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, and HSRPTechnical expertise in network, storage, virtualization, and computing across multiple vendorsExperience working with diverse environmentsProficient in troubleshooting, problem-solving skills and must have excellent customer service skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a team as well as handle multiple tasks and deadlinesExcellent communication, interpersonal skills and strong attention to detailWillingness to travel to client sites and work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as requestedValid driver's license and access to own transportation to travel to client sites preferredEducation and Experience:Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, related field, or equivalent work experienceAt least 2 years of experience as a field services engineer or a similar role in the IT industryKnowledge of IT systems and equipment, such as servers, networks, printers, scanners, and security devicesCertifications in relevant IT fields, such as CompTIA, Cisco, Microsoft, or VMware is a plus
