Salary: $17-$20 per hour

Job Summary:

We are seeking a creative, innovative, and organized Gallery Coordinator (Administrative Assistant) to join our vibrant New Art Studio in the city of downtown Alpharetta. The ideal candidate will oversee the day-to-day needs of the gallery and will also have the flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed for events. This role involves being detailed oriented, maintaining the front office, administrative tasks including online services, social media, retail operations, invoicing, processing payments, daily opening and closing of the gallery, and providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate a positive and welcoming environment at the Studio/Gallery
  • Greet and assist clients, artists, and visitors with inquiries and provide information about studio services in a professional manner.
  • Coordinator of Studio/Gallery daily open and closing
  • Process online invoicing, payments, services, social media and cash transactions
  • Coordinate with the Director of the Studio events, shows & classes
  • Coordinate Social Media postings of classes, shows, and events
  • Order and maintain inventory supplies for the gallery
  • Maintain the safety and cleanliness of the gallery
  • Act as liaison between clients, artists and studio management
  • Communicate studio policies and procedures to clients, artist and visitors
  • Manage booking and scheduling of appointments for classes and events
  • Maintain accurate records of sales, client information and class schedules.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of associate's degree in arts, administration, business, or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an administrative role. (preferably in a customer service or administrative setting)
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with scheduling software.
  • Knowledge of art and studio operations is a plus but not required.
  • Experience in sales, customer service and customer relationships preferred.
  • Must have a vehicle for local travel.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
