The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing a heavy caseload of complex litigation matters. This role requires someone with a deep understanding of the litigation process, exceptional analytical abilities, and excellent communication skills. The Litigation Associate will be expected to handle all aspects of a case, from initial client consultation through final resolution. This is a full-time, permanent position that offers a competitive salary and benefits package. Responsibilities:

  • Handle all aspects of litigation, including trial, depositions, motions, and briefs.
  • Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis to support case preparation.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
  • Attend court proceedings and represent clients at depositions, mediations, and trials.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing regular updates and advice on legal matters.
  • Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients in an effort to resolve disputes efficiently.
  • Collaborate with legal team members to develop effective case strategies.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in laws and regulations that may affect clients or their cases.
Qualifications:
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the state bar of Florida
  • Experience in a law firm setting (internships are okay)
  • Experience with trial, depositions, motions, and briefs.
  • Exceptional analytical skills, with a strong ability to think strategically and analytically about case details and potential outcomes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively present information in court and negotiate on behalf of clients.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Proficient in legal research software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to manage a heavy caseload and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • High level of professionalism and ethical standards.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing tasks with minimal supervision.
