Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Machine Mechanic to serve as the first line supervisor for Bag Catchers and Utility personnel. The ideal candidate will ensure all machines are running efficiently and on schedule, monitor production quality, and assist with machine maintenance and changeovers.

Responsibilities

• Serve as first line supervisor for Bag Catchers and Utility personnel.
• Assign employees to production lines and ensure all machines are running on schedule and at production speed.
• Monitor bags being run, ensuring hourly samples are taken to inspect quality and catch defects and unnecessary waste.
• Assist in machine changeovers and order changes, ensuring timely completion.
• Clean and repair machines as needed.
• Ensure work is conducted safely and employees follow all safety procedures.
• Submit accurate and timely production reports daily.
• Ensure employees take breaks and schedule relief as needed.
• Evaluate employee performance and administer counseling, disciplinary action, and improvement plans as required.
• Train new employees or assign them to others for training.
• Supply workers with necessary materials.
• Ensure employees keep their work areas clean.
• Refer employees to Human Resources for complaints or grievances.
• Distribute paychecks to subordinates.
• Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned by management, including food safety.

Pay Rate

$25/hr- $27/hr

( Depending on the years of experience)

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $27.00/hr.
