Medical Secretary/Dental Technician Needed

We are looking for a compassionate and hardworking team member with the ability to learn quickly. This is a great opportunity in the world of dentistry. We are looking for an individual who is motivated, and responsible, wants to have hands-on experience working with patients. This individual should be comfortable with working in the mouth (taking photos, using cheek retractors, directing patients on how to stand and move). You’ll be the “right hand” of our dental provider. Your contribution to our team cannot be understated, you are the oil that keeps our practice running smoothly. 

NO Experience Needed:

Prior medical office or dental/orthodontic experience can be helpful, but it’s certainly not required. All applicants welcome to apply! We offer paid training, believing that knowledge is power; we want ALL our team members to be successful & fulfilled!! 

Some of what you will be doing:

- Ushering each patient into our treatment room, addressing (documenting) concerns while establishing trustworthy and open communication to ensure the highest level of service and care 

- Reviewing and organizing patient medical charts for accuracy and authenticity, new patient coordination (intake evaluations, forms, insurance verification), preauthorizations

- Educating patients on follow-up care instruction, appointments, and andy additional treatments

- Assisting in opening and closing the office

- Reviewing x-ray machines for maintenance,; sterilization of equipment and restocking 

- Understanding and respecting patient privacy laws

- Responsible for taking intraoral records photos, radiographs, for all new and returning patients in the office

- Consistent cross-training for optimal career growth (offered and expected)

- Prompt follow-up with patients via phone call, email, or text message to answer questions.

- Pleasantly answering questions and scheduling appointments for existing and potential patients, using your friendliest phone voice to answer incoming calls, take messages, and outreach to patients (re-engagement required)
