Mig Welder Job Description

As a MIG Welder, you will be responsible for horizontal and vertical MIG welding on a variety of materials, primarily aluminum. You will also perform some TIG welding as needed. You will be required to inspect your own welds and ensure they meet certification standards. This role involves working with different types of wires and materials, with a focus on producing high-quality welds.

Responsibilities

• Perform horizontal and vertical MIG welding on various materials, including aluminum, steel, and stainless steel.
• Conduct TIG welding as needed.
• Use .360 wire, 4043 wire, 5356 wire, and .035 wire.
• Inspect own welds using visual methods to ensure quality and certification compliance.
• Work collaboratively with a team of 4-5 welders on the same shift.

Essential Skills

• 1+ year of welding experience (either from school or on the job).
• Ability to read weld blueprints and symbols.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 3+ years of welding experience (either from school or on the job) is a plus.
• Experience with MIG welding, fabrication, blueprint reading, aluminum welding, and stainless steel welding.
• Proficiency in using hand tools and understanding of production welding processes.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.55 - $24.55/hr.
