Position Summary : Mobile Crisis Services is at the forefront of the intersection between behavioral health and involvement in the criminal justice system. The Manager oversees the day to day operations developing of the MCT program while implementing, and executing the MCT program protocols, procedures and policies. The Manager Serves as the Supervisor On-call, acts as back-up Crisis Evaluator, is part of on-call rotation and is team lead for meetings and staffing. The Manager of Mobile Crisis Services will supervise and lead identified crisis staff, be on-call, and represent the MCT program and service lines in the community in addition to providing supervision and guidance to the clinical staff. The Manager will ensure that the program services delivery, and all regulations and best practices are met.

Essential Functions:

• Oversees the implementation of MCT policies and procedures.


• Keeps Clinical Director and other leadership members (as appropriate) informed of MCT issues and concerns; consults with and keeps all above informed of performance issues with staff


• Oversee the clinical operations of the Mobile Outreach/Crisis Team and report on activities to the Clinical Director


• Ensure the timely flow of activities to meet guidelines for off-site behavioral health services provided by MCT staff


• Ensure the team delivers trauma-informed, recovery-oriented services and effectively applies motivational interviewing


• Oversee coordination of services with relevant criminal justice system stakeholders; hospitals; and clinic leadership


• Provide regular clinical supervision for team members


• Ensure the team meets its performance outcomes as defined by guidelines


• Consistently review assessments, progress notes, and collect data for reporting as indicated


• Oversee team incident reporting procedures, ensures MCT team adheres policy and procedures, and follows recommendations


• Lead the daily organizational meetings and weekly service planning meetings


• Train, supervise, and evaluate mobile outreach/crisis team staff while promoting culturally competent services


• Conduct document and quality assurance reviews to ensure that the team operates in compliance with Louisiana Department of Health guidelines and regulations


• Consult with team psychiatrist on especially complex, high-risk cases


• Oversee, coordinate and provide on call 24-hour crisis consultation


• Coordinate collaboration and reporting with partnered referring agencies if needed


• Perform other duties as required by executive staff

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: Masters in clinical or social service related field from accredited university and previous experience or training in field of chemical dependency.

Experience: Minimum of three (3) years experience providing direct service in a health care or social service industry preferred; prior supervisory experience necessary.

Competency: Position and Age-Related

Licensure/Certification: Professional clinical license issued by the appropriate licensing body in Louisiana (LPC, LCSW preferred)
