Job Description
We are seeking an Operator Oil Recycling Lead to join our team in Kingland, GA team. Responsibilities include and not limited to - Cleans and/or changes-out pump strainers and inline filters, samples tanks and production lines, replaces PPE drums, empties all containment bins and replaces dirty oil absorbent pads. Oversees Distributive Control Systems (DCS), Primary Control Systems (PLC’s), Control Room, production operations, and waste management practices.

Maintain a clean work area, including all office areas, control room, locker rooms, tank farm, tower, parking lot, and rail spots.
Following the direction of the shift supervisor or plant manager handle all plant operations; ensuring any necessary adjustments and maintenance to the plant are completed by the operator, senior operator, or qualified personnel
Provide oversight and operational guidance as directed by supervision to the plant operators and maintain a thorough understanding of their duties and responsibilities
Ensure the PLC facility control room is monitored 24 hours a day.
Complete all control room paperwork during the shift was generated
Complete the control room logs on an hourly and as needed basis including the Hourly User Log (computer), Operations Logbook, Transfer Log, and the Hourly Production Log (paper), PM Logs and required equipment inspections.
Monitor and track all laboratory analysis and ensure samples meet established facility guidelines
Assist or perform any necessary or requested preventive maintenance in the facility including dry vac and pump PM’s
Assist in the training of new employees.
Maintain SOP’s
LMS safety training monthly and annually
Ensure operators and other personnel follow all established sampling procedures for facility.
Operate Equipment as needed – Forklift, Manlift, etc.
Communicate any problems or issues found with the Shift Supervisor and General Manager
Input work tickets for all equipment that requires repair and perform or direct the necessary repair if possible.
Troubleshoot and repair equipment as directed or needed.
Writing permits for HOTWORK, Critical Lift and Confined Space Entry during project and shutdowns.
What does it take to work here?
HS Diploma or equivalent
3-5 years’ experience in a plant and/or industrial type environment
2-5 years leadership experience
Writing permits knowledge such as HOTWORK and Confined Space Entry
Distributed Control Systems (DCS), Primary Logic Control (PLC) and/or Control Room experience preferred
Production background is ideal!
Leading a team or employees and contractor
Proven ability to keep a crew moving to ensure goals are met or exceeded
Mechanically inclined a plus!
Understanding of pumps, instrumentation, piping, pressure and flow an asset!
Communication and collaborate with all levels of organization to include and not limited to operators, lab personnel, supervisors and upper management
Teamwork is a must!
Lift up to 50lbs, sit or stand for long periods, stoop, and bend
Must be able to complete and pass technical training
