Job Description

Akkodis is seeking a Senior Network Engineer for a Contract job with a client in Dearborn, MI . The candidate will evaluate and test WAN technologies to ensure secure, high-quality network solutions. They will collaborate with internal and external teams to maintain seamless global communication.

Rate Range: $45/hour to $50/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Senior Network Engineering job responsibilities include:

• Evaluating and testing WAN technologies to ensure high-quality, secure network solutions.

• Collaborating with internal and external teams to maintain seamless global communication.

• Managing network operations, including capacity testing and lifecycle management.

• Performing security CVE reviews and certifying software and hardware platforms.

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field.

• 5+ years of experience in network engineering and WAN technologies.
• Certification in CCNA, CCNP, PMP, CCDP

• Experience and knowledge of WAN/LAN Technologies, SD-WAN, IPsec, QOS, VoIP, OSPF, LDAP, SMTP, Proxy servers, Load-Balancers, and network security protocols.

• In-depth understanding of BGP protocol, peering, MPLS, GRE tunnels, EIGRP, OSPF, and BGP with multiple areas over various WAN transport.

• Experience with Cisco platforms: CAT9500, CAT9600, C8500, C8300, ASR1100, ASR1000, ISR 1100 series.

• Skilled in Cloud technologies (Google Cloud Platform, AWS), network installation, configuration, testing, and VLAN design.

• Knowledge of performance monitoring tools, packet captures, analysis, and circuit types (EPL & DIA).

Pay Details: $45.00 to $50.00 per hour
