Manage labor and processes associated with SDS Transportation to meet daily delivery goals. Ensure accuracy, efficiency, safe driving, and other safety standards are met while promoting a culture of employee and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:1. Define measurable, individual performance goals, monitor and communicate via regular feedback and annual performance reviews.
2. Coach direct reports to maximize development of internal talent
3. Monitor daily operations to ensure all safety-related procedures are followed, schedules are met with depart and delivery times, and drivers are ensuring delivery accuracy.
4. Obtain driver feedback and input through daily interactions in the Transportation lounge, phone calls, department meetings, etc. Maintain open communication and adequate follow up with internal and external customers to ensure timely resolution to issues.
5. Ensure drivers and delivery assistants are following all company policies and procedures, as well as comply with all safety standards, safe driving practices, and all Federal, State, and Local transportation regulations.
6. Work with CLI Safety to report accidents and assist with investigation. Support proper accountability through coaching or disciplinary steps.
7. Perform driver and delivery assistant interviews and make hiring decisions with Human Resources to maintain adequate staffing while controlling payroll costs.
8. Conduct new hire onboarding and training and ensure timely execution orientation process for all new Drivers/Delivery Assistants
9. Plan, prepare, and present topics for departmental meetings.
10. Support continuous improvement efforts throughout the Supply Chain. Encourage team member involvement in continuous improvement by promoting process ownership.

Minimum 5 years related experience in logistics or transportation with at least 1 year in a supervisory role required
