This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact by providing high-quality special education services to students with diverse needs. As a Special Education Teacher, you will work collaboratively with educators, families, and other professionals to ensure that all students receive the support they need to succeed academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities:

• Adapt and modify curriculum and instructional materials to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
  
• Monitor and document student progress, adjusting instructional strategies and interventions as necessary.
  
• Utilize skills to conduct assessments, deliver instruction, and communicate effectively with students and families.
  
• Provide training and support to school staff and families on strategies for supporting bilingual students with special needs.
  
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with school district policies and special education regulations.
  
• Participate in IEP meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and other meetings as required, providing clear and effective communication.
  
• Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and support staff to create inclusive learning environments and support student progress.
  
• Provide direct instruction and support to students in various settings, including inclusive classrooms, resource rooms, and self-contained classrooms.
  
• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with special needs, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
  

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or a related field.
  
• Strong knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
  
• Valid Illinois teaching license with LBS1 (Learning Behavior Specialist1) endorsement.
  
• Experience working with students with special needs, preferably in a multicultural setting.
  
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
