Job Details

• Minimum Experience: 2 years; 1st Timers are accepted
• Patient Population: Adults to Geriatrics
• General Skills and Work Setting Requirements: General Diagnoses include ARDS, Sepsis, Stroke, STEMI, DKA, Post-op complications, Cardiogenic shock, GIB, COPD exacerbation, encephalopathy, Liver failure, Drug overdose, ESRD on CRRT; Block scheduling is not guaranteed; No Travel Pairs (regardless if one is on another unit)
• Ratio / Census: 1:2-3 (Traveler should be prepared for the possibility of taking a 3rd patient); 24 Rooms with average daily census of 19
• Unit Systems: Pyxis, Epic, SBAR
• Scrub Color: Navy Blue
• RTO: MAX 7 days
• Weekends: Every other weekend
• Floating: Yes, within facility
• Call Requirements: Not specified
• Holidays: If one major holiday falls in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work it. If two major holidays fall in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work both of the holidays. If three major holidays fall in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work two of the holidays.

Job Requirements

• Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS, NIH
• Compliance: Full compliance required to start on time; if not compliant in time the push back is 2 weeks due to bi-weekly orientation schedule.
• Pre-Screen: Candidate will be reviewed by clinical to determine clinical fit, if clinical pass and within Piedmont guidelines, candidate will be sent to the manager for final decision.

Schedule Information

• Contract Length: 14 days
• Holidays: Major Holidays are listed below: New Year’s Eve and Day, Spring Break, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve and Day
• Background Check required within 30 days of start.

Unit Specific Information

• Candidate must review/sign prior to start.
• Candidate must review Dress and Professional Appearance Policy.
