About the Job:

Ultrasound Sonographer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Ultrasound Sonographer to join our dedicated healthcare team. In this role, you will perform diagnostic sonograms to demonstrate anatomy and pathology for interpretation by medical professionals. This position plays a crucial role in patient care by obtaining and documenting appropriate clinical information, preparing patients for imaging, and ensuring the quality and accuracy of ultrasound exams. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to patient health and medical analysis in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

Compensation: Dependent on Experience

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform diagnostic sonograms to accurately display anatomy and pathological data.
  • Obtain relevant patient clinical history and information from the requesting physician or service prior to performing exams.
  • Prepare patients and explain procedures to ensure patient comfort and cooperation.
  • Manage the setup and cleanliness of the sonography equipment and examination room.
  • Conduct assessments of ultrasound exams to detect suboptimal techniques or equipment errors.
  • Physically assist in performing portable exams and transferring patients when necessary.
  • Maintain RDMS credentials as per American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography standards.
  • Adopt flexible working hours including, but not limited to, rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts according to departmental needs.

Minimum Position Qualifications:

  • Graduate of a formal accredited ultrasound training program.
  • Holds ARDMS credentials in Abdomen and OB/Gyn specialities.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in ultrasound sonography.
  • Ability to work flexibly across various locations and shifts as required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Additional ARDMS specialty certifications.
  • Experience working in a top-rated medical facility.
  • Advanced knowledge and handling of ultrasound equipment.
