- Type: Contract

- Level: Mid-Level

- Location: Remote (PST highly preferred, will consider CST, will not consider EST unless person is willing to work in PST or CST)

- Workplace: 100% Remote

- Duration: ASAP to June 30th, 2024, with strong potential for extension.

3. Summary of the opportunity

- Client Overview: Microsoft Azure UX team

- Role Summary: The UX Researcher will be responsible for conducting customer research and driving feedback into future iterations of the Azure product, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams of researchers, designers, and engineers.

4. What are the key responsibilities?

- Define and execute qualitative research methods (field research, surveys, lab studies, remote testing, A/B tests)

- Conduct independent research on multiple aspects of products and experiences

- Deliver actionable research findings to team members on time

- Communicate research findings and build consensus around design decisions

- Document and present recommendations based on research and analysis

- Identify and address critical usability issues with the supervision of a Design Researcher or Manager

5. What experience are we looking for to drive success?

- MUST-Have Skills and Qualifications:

- Bachelor's Degree in Experimental Psychology, Cognitive Psychology, Human Factors, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field

- 2-4 years of experience in the field

- Experience running usability studies (1-2+ years of experience)

- Experience recruiting users for research (1-2+ years of experience)

- Experience navigating research tools (1-2+ years of experience)

- Collaborative experience with design, product management, and engineering teams

- Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

- Enterprise experience

- Foundational research experience informing product roadmap
