Operate varying types of sewing machines. Independently perform repair work on a variety of garments and items such as fatigues, field jackets, shirts, and pillows.
Responsible for maintaining all training equipment that is used for personnel to include altering and repairing heavy materials such as wool coats, parkas, and other cold weather equipment.
Replace zippers and sew patches, name tags and pocket flaps which may involve top stitching square corners, ripping seams and matching replacement parts.
Operate computerized Point of Sale (POS) pricing and accounting system, maintain production records, and provides customer service.
In order to qualify, you must meet the quality level experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards Handbook X-118C for WG-3100 Fabric and Leather Work Family.
